Description : | The boat is a replica of a Dog Island/Sailor dory. The exterior and interior of the dory has been painted orange with a small green trim at the top of the boat. The dory has two oar locks on either side of the boat located approximately in the centre of the boat. Two paddles lay on the floor of the boat and a yellow throw line is coiled on the floor of the boat near the bow. There are four seats located vertically in the boat. |
Commentaires : | This is a model of a Dog Island, now a Sailor's Island dory, the island which is situated across the harbour from the town of St. Pierre. It is patterned after the dories which were built by Amadee Tillard and his son Paul. It is painted in the same colors as were used to paint their dories. The scale is 1 5/8" to 1'. |
