Description : A long homemade jack plane. The throat is heart shaped with a wooden wedge securing a two piece cutting iron through to the bottom of the heart. The handle appears to have been made from a tree limb, which has been witled. The handle is secured to the base by a screw at the back. A bolt runs through the front of the base crossways and a second bolt, presumably a striking knob, entered through the top. There aren't any visable names or numbers, except for the manufacturer's name on the plane's iron, which is not legible.
