Description : Homemade white cotton camisole, side closure with four buttons at left side and two at left shoulder. All buttons mother pearl. Item is sleeveless with wide medium low neck line. Armholes and neckline edged with 2.7cm wide lace with peach coloured satin drawstrings. Bodice is tapered to waist length where a flare 6.0cm wide skirt shaped band on bottom. On bottom inside edge at centre written in black ink is 'Vida Murray'. At centre front near neckline is heart shape outline made with small eyelets. In centre of heart is catin stitch embroidery. Leading from near the bottom and sides of the skert are stems done in stem stitch; and leaves and daisies done in satin stitch. Also two large flowers on each side done in satin stitch and french knots. At the base of the second flower to each side is three eyelets. All this hand embroidery is done in white thread. Arm holes and neck is hand stitched rolled hem with lace sewn on by machine. Button holes are sewn by hand. Shoulder seams and waist seam are french seams. To each side of centre back is two set of two 'pintuck pleats'. The back section of skirt type bottom is on inside out.
