| Description : | Five large ginger jars. These objects are reproductions and are being used for display purposes. PH1 2006 A is a jar and B is a lid. A-Six sided, clay jar that is narrow at the base and then tapers outward at the top. It has been glazed with a green finish. Embossed on the jar on six separate panels (sides) is the four seasons pattern. Decorative work surrounds the raised lip of jar. B-Circular clay lid that is off white in colour. Paper label on top in blue, red, yellow and white depicting ginger root , name of product 'STEM GINGER IN SYRUP' manufacturer 'Tung Chun & Canning Company' and other information. .PH2 2007 Ph2 2007 |
