| Description : | (a) Rectangular white cardboard box top with paper labels on the top and ends. The top label has black lettering on light brown stating 'J & P COATS SIX CORD MACHINE COTTON' and an image of a mill. The end label reads '12 WHITE, J. & P. COATS' MACHINE, 200 YARDS SIX CORD' with written in pencil '80 White'. Along with red, green and gold trade mark. Opposite end has hand written '9 White No. 80'. (b) White cardboard box bottom. Box and lid are dirty and stained C - K are dark brown wooden spools with white thread wound onto them. C to G have paper labels on either end, one end reads 'R & T JACK & Co., BEST SIX CORD, EXTRA QUALITY 80' other reads 'WARRANTED 200 YDS BEST SIX CORD'. H has one label same as the latter on C to G. I to K have no labels or markings. Spools and thread are dirty, stained and mouldy. PH2 2007 |
