| Description : | (a)boxtop - multicolored cardboard, picture depicting cartoon characters, man on a bike proding a horse with a pitchfork, horse wares a blanket with 'Spark Plug' written on it and is chasing a bundle of food dangleing from a stick attached to his halter. A white and brown spotted dog runs in front of the horse. Cartoonist signed 'DEBECK' Game title on the lid 'Barney Google and Spark Plug game' is written in red lettering. Box lid edges are rimmed in red, small lettering on left corner read 'Copywright 1923 by King Features Syndicate, Inc'. Backside of top contains game instructions with black print and 'Milton Bradley Company, Springfield, Mass.' (b) gameboard multicolored cardboard with cartoon characters and game 'jump-spaces' edged in black, back is all black, some mold evident. (C) raw (not painted) wooden dice cup made from one piece, no seams between bottom and sides. (d) box bottom inside, grey cardboard with two compartments to hold pieces; back, white cardboard with Christmas gift tag on top right corner handwritten, reads 'From Mrs Murphy, To Mildred' (e) to (h) - white cardboard game pieces sloted into red wooded stands depicting men and horses in black cartoon characture. (i) - Knotted gold metalice thread.(j) - small raw wood dice printed with black dots for numbers 1 to 6. PH3 2008 |
