| Description : | A faded colored cromolithograph postcard which states ' HAPPY NEW YEAR.'in blue and gold. The rest of the postcard is colored white, gold and green. Length: 14 cm. Width: 8.7 cm. The Suetterlin Script used on this postcard was created by the Berlin Graphic artist L. Suetterlin and taught in Prussian schools between 1915 and 1940. It is also commonly known as 'German Script' and is a standardized form of the priorly used Kanzelei Scripts, which could be executed in many different ways. For more information and examples of the Suetterlin Script as presented in a German reader of 1903, go to www.suetterlinschrift.de. Translation of card, in part, reads'Dear Sister, I must write you a New Year's card too. Wish you a Happy New Year too.'
