| Description : | Saddle, hunting type. The stirrup straps are adjustable by a steel single prong buckle. They are gold plated metal with a footrest. A boss at the outer top center with a Field marshal's insignia embossed "a Queens crown over crossed batons. This boss conceals the suspension bar for the stirrup straps. The outer sides of the side bars are embossed with oak leaf and acorn decoration. The foot rest is serrated on the top edges, the outer sides decorated with scroll pattern; the foot surface of the reset is cut out to form a straight bar from the top and bottom of an oval with two half moons from the bar to the sides in the centre. The metal attachment loops and bars of the saddle are brass. The underside of the saddle is padded leather. |
