| Description : | Made from dark blue stroud cloth, split into four pairs of "legs" at bottom, each leg being tipped with a pair of either dark yellow or dark blue glass bead and wool yarn tassels. "Legs" and top edges of bag are edged with red cloth and white beads; sides of bag body are edged with pale green cloth and white beads. Floral beaded design, on either side of bady of bag, done in white, blue, gold and red beads, directly onto blue cloth. Pair of red cloth rosettes, each centred with a large brass button and edged with white beads, above floral designs. All beadwork is done with old seed beads. Braided light and dark brown wool yarn carrying strap. Bag is lined with print cotton cloth. LEVEL 6:collected in early 1840's |
