| Description : | Made in sewn coil technique. Rectangular, fairly straight walled. Imbricated design all over with white-yellow background, 12.5 cm wide band around bottom has a horned animal (deer or moose) at each corner. With geometrical designs between animals, on sides & ends, designs are in reddish-brown. Next a 5.6 cm wide red & white checkered band above this, next up is a white band 7.5 cm wide with a zig-zag reddish-brown line through it with triangular shapes at bottom points of zig-zag & around top 3.75 cm is a red & white checkered band. Strengthening stick around basket body 3.75 cm down from rim, is laced to basket with cotton string & has buckskin carrying loops attached around it, three either side. White, wrapped, band around rim. |
