Description : Two flyleaves. Frontispiece is a photo of the Duke of Connaught and Strathearn, K. G. Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of the Dominion of Canada. Title page. Contents pg. v and vi. List of illustrations p. vii. List of maps and plans pg. viii. Text runs from pg. 1 to pg. 365. Index runs from pg. 369 to pg. 380. All illustrations black and white. All maps, except one on page between pgs. 84 and 85 which is coloured, are black and white. Pages bound together in groups to cloth. Some pages show signs of being hand cut; pages gilded on top edges only. Two flyleaves. Colour of cover: pink and gold flower pattern and black binding. Title is impressed in gold on spine. Gold bands impressed on spine. Binding on spine is a brown leather-like material; this material is also found on the corners. Remainder of cover is a pink and gold flower pattern. Content of text: chapters on the military history of Canada. A note that book was donated by Mrs. William P. Bruce on first flyleaf. Shape rectangular
