| Description : | Quilt top machine pieced of blocks formed of one center square followed by rectangular strips of increasing length stitched to backing. Backing of strips joined with lengthwise seams. Filler of quilt batting. Edging of straight-cut patterned strips, machine-sewn to top and hemmed to underside. Quilting follows seam lines. Center squares all fine red and white print, giving appearance of pink. Remainder vari-colour prints, plains, stripes, checks. Backing is brownish colour. Log cabin blocks joined so dark and light squares alternate on the diagonal. Patern name log cabin Shape rectangular |
