| Description : | Leather buggy whip holder for salesman to carry multiple whips for sale/demonstration. Longest portion consists of a single piece of leather wider at one end than the other. Longest piece: widest end bolted and sewn around circular piece of tin?, narrow end rolled, open along full length. Narrow end fits inside 39.5 cm. long leather tube which buckles to main portion. Handle, 33 cm. long, bolted parallel to full length opening, narrow strip of red leather parallels other side with 6 buckles along length. Incomplete strap and buckle around widest end, parallel to 3 loops sewn to short lengths of strap and 3 more loops sewn to straps which reach around circumference but don't meet. 7 slits parallel and interspersed with straps. Scraps of paper tied to handle with twine. |
