| Description : | Wooden bed, high headboard A, footboard B, endboards C, D, finial E; headboard has high rounded center with extension; finial topped front posts; urn shaped decoration on each post under almost rectangular panel; central extension has: wide curved overhang offset by scrolls; scrolls end in protruding bar on which is affixed a circular panel; applied panels composed of oval flanked on each side by quadrilateral; applied panels are burled wood; 2 recessed horizontal panels on body of headboard; chest of drawers originally stained to resemble oak, additional stain applied to resemble mahogany; brown; footboard B: rectangular; top rail has rounded center; horizontal insert in center of body; sideboards C, D: have double upward curve at each end; applied rectangular metal plate with 2 rectangular posts on each end of sideboards. |
