Description : | Vest Pocket Kodak B folding camera, black, with case and instructions. |
Fonctions : | The Vest Pocket Kodak Model B Camera was produced between the years 1925 and 1934. The folding camera was a great investment for the amateur photographer. It was compact enough that it could be carried around quite easily to capture spontaneous moments or be carried far distances. This model was fairly inexpensive, it cost approximately five to eight dollars and it took relatively small pictures at 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 in. The model was an improvement on previous folding models in that the film was front loaded. Film could easily be placed in the camera through the folding bed which serves as the door. Side loading of previous models occasionally caused minor problems. George Johnston was an amateur photographer with a passion for capturing life along Teslin Lake. His many cameras and resulting photographs tell the story of his life. A museum is dedicated to this remarkable entrepreneur in Teslin. |
