| Fonctions : | It is said by the Ladakhis that the asti tsazar is worn only for special occasions, but the collector saw what appeared to be the same type of sashes worn daily. In traditional dances, the men proceed in queues, describing circles in stately controlled steps with their asti tsazars held before them in their extended right hands. A potpourri of paraphernalia can be carried in the the man's sash. Some items have become obsolete but are still kept tucked inside. |
