| Description : | Four panels depict the Manitoba landscape during the spring flood of 1997 (a) and after the flood (b, c, d), in all four seasons. (a) spring, May 1997: a gravel road partially submerged by floodwater runs vertically along image, ending at horizon with a gravel clearing (parking lot ?); bare trees and bushes to the left and right of the road. (b) summer, July 1997: floodwaters receded; trees and bushes are full of green leaves; green grass at sides of road. (c) winter, December 1997: bare trees with a few red and gold leaves; the ground is covered in white snow; there are small (animal) footprints down the middle of the road. (d) fall/autumn, September 1998: green and gold leaves on trees and bushes; gold and red leaves on ground at sides of road; a row of hay bales (?) on the horizon. |
