| Description : | A long, rectangular, red box with "OXO" printed in white across top; sides and bottom of tin are gold colour with black printing including trademark (three cow faces in trefoil), contents, product blurb, and the royal seal (by appointment to the late King George V); bottom includes recommendations for use, and manufacturer's name; lid has short lip and lifts off; hardened adhesive from white tape on tin in a 1.5 cm strip around the sides and sides of lid; contains many large hair pins, safety pins, screws, and other odd bits and pieces printed inside lid is French translation of what is on bottom of tin. |
