| Description : | A small coiled basket in shape of jar (or closed bowl) with lid; stitches wrap around two coils at a time proceeding upward on a diagonal; wrapped bamboo coils at base forms foot; lid is domed with small knob woven into top and wrapped ring of flat bamboo forming lip which fits inside lid of jar; remnant of brown and red paper label glued to one side with Oriental writing; very sturdy, not flexible; coil structure shows through stitching. |
