Description : Two pairs of shoe trees, each consisting of a long, flexible, metal band with a triangular wooden form at one and a wooden knob at the other. Flat, metal band is forced into slits in this ends of the wooden forms. Triangular form is round on top and flat on bottom. (a) black, wooden forms painted black, with paint extending a bit onto the metal bands. Triangular form at front elongated. Knob at back rounded at end, and flat where metal band enters. (b)gold, wooden forms painted with gilt paint which is worn, scuffed, and discoloured in places. Metal bands wrapped tightly with .9 cm wide purple satin ribbon nearly the full length. Wooden knobs flattened at ends with lathe turning axis visible where metal band enter.
