Description : Handmade, chased silver link belt. Links are series of oval shapes, alternating with small diamond shapes, with a rectangular link at the end. Oval links are scalloped around edges with a chased series of short parallel lines forming a band following the shape of the edge and describing a diamond shape at the centre. Small guide line scratched across the surface of each oval along the short axis, each link slightly bevelled. Ring at each end fastens through a ring at each side of the alternating diamond shape which is smaller and chased in a similar manner around the edges. At front of belt is a rectangular link, buckle chased with a design similar to that on the ovals. Buckle fastens to small diamond link at other end by means of a small silver hook which passes through a silver eye soldered to the diamond.
