Description :

Summer sandals - crocheted heel strap and front vamp. Everything man made. The vamp has 3 straps to the outside coming to a knot and brown plastic bead which widens into a tight and partially loose crocheted pattern. The heel portion is a triangular shape which covers the back of a persons heel. There are stray threads through the top of the heel piece to fasten in front of the ankle with a small gold buckle. There is a cording that wraps around the sole edge and top of the heel edge - rope like and same colour as vamp and heel. The heel is a wedge with a small portion removed.

Description :

6 gores 6.5" long and 3.5" wide at base, black satin. Doubling banding - lower one is 0.5", upper one is 1". Silk satin with a suggestion of a pattern. Braided, knotted top. Top center attached by a brass clip. Inside has 6 gores, coarse orange/red cotton, stiff. Folds up flat - each gore folds inwards.
